Investigation finds Tennessee nursing home abuse and neglect

December 4, 2007

The Commercial Appeal reported that a Tennessee nursing home has been ordered to help all of its residents find new homes and shut down within 30 days after an investigation found 36 deficiencies at the home. The inspection report showed problems with the administration of medication, staffing, care quality, as well as a failure to properly care of the health and social well-being of residents. Because of the Tennessee nursing home abuse, the home was fined $5,800 per day, which started Oct. 31, and ordered not to admit new residents.
