Memphis drunk driving accident involves drunk minor
March 3, 2011
Unfortunately, intoxicated drivers are a common risk on the road. What is less common, though, is an intoxicated driver who has an intoxicated minor in the car as well.
According to WMC-TV, a Memphis drunk driving accident was likely to occur when a trooper who had stopped to help a broken-down truck noticed another vehicle was swerving and left to pursue it.
The car swerved down South Highway 51 and the trooper feared the swerving vehicle would cause a Memphis drunk driving accident. When the trooper pulled the vehicle over, the driver gave the officer her bank card instead of her driver’s license. The officer then discovered an intoxicated 14-year-old, a passenger in the vehicle which could have been involved in a Memphis drunk driving accident.
The woman had been charged with driving under the influence in 2002.
Do you think this driver should be charged for having a drunk teen in her car while nearly causing a Memphis drunk driving accident?
